At LJ Aesthetics, we carry a variety of neurotoxins to achieve different aesthetic goals. We offer Botox®, Dysport®, Jeuveau®, and Xeomin®. If you don't have a preferred neurotoxin brand, our injector will help you choose the best option for your needs.
Neurotoxins block the release of acetylcholine, disrupting the signals that tell facial muscles to contract. Lines and wrinkles form when you smile and make other facial expressions. Over time, they gradually deepen and become more pronounced. Neurotoxins help facial muscles relax, creating a smoother and firmer appearance while preventing the formation of more fine lines.
It varies by brand, but you will typically see results within two to four days. Neurotoxin results last about three to six months. Maintenance appointments are needed for long-term results and preventative care.
The rate at which we produce collagen and elastin slows as we get older. Collagen and elastin are building blocks of the skin, often associated with suppleness, fullness, and skin resilience. While neurotoxins smooth lines and wrinkles by relaxing the facial muscles, they do not restore collagen or create volume.
