Fillers

LJ Aesthetics carries Restylane, Juvéderm, Reveness, and Radiasse dermal fillers. Each product line is different and rests at various price points. During your consultation, you can discuss your preferred filler and learn more about the products we use and endorse at LJ Aesthetics.

Fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a substance found in the body, and are used to eliminate wrinkles, add volume and hydration to lips, and replace volume loss. Fillers also raise scar depressions and soften the appearance of deep wrinkles.

Dermal fillers are made of a soft and gel-like substance with a hyaluronic acid base. Dermal filler injections plump the skin and provide deep hydration. The results are semi-permanent and last six to twelve months. The body will naturally break down the filler and metabolize it over time. We use fillers to:

• Smooth lines around the nose and mouth (marionette lines, smile lines, and parentheses).
• Restore lost volume to the cheeks and temples.
• Soften vertical lip lines.
• Plump and hydrate the lips.
• Smooth chin creases.
• Improve symmetry in facial features

During your filler appointment, we will discuss the appropriate treatment options for your goals. If you are a good candidate for dermal filler, the injection may occur the same day. The treatment area will be cleaned, and you will receive a topical anesthetic to numb the area before injection. Your injector will administer the dermal filler into the treatment area with a needle or cannula. Most patients note that filler injections feel similar to a pinch. The pain dissipates quickly but is commonly followed by swelling, light bruising, and tenderness at the treatment site.

The results are immediate. You can even ask for a handheld mirror to watch as your injector administers the dermal filler under the skin! Swelling will occur within minutes and mask the final results for up to two weeks. After two weeks, the effects of your treatment will settle into place. Maintenance appointments are required every six to twelve months to maintain the results of your filler injections.
